David Hume
David Hume has over a decade of experience building and leading FP&A teams, and working closely with PE/VC sponsors in various industries. He joined First Water in July 2023 as Vice President, and is responsible for leading partner company initiatives across FP&A and Corporate Finance.
Prior to Joining First Water, David was VP of Finance for Bluewave Technology group, a VC-backed technology advisory firm, where he led 5 acquisitions. Prior to that, he was Director of Finance for Merchants Distributors, a multi-billion dollar wholesale food distributor, and also worked for PE-backed Driven Brands where he led FP&A and 100+ acquisitions for the business ahead of its successful $700 million IPO. He began his career at Bank of America, where he worked in the firm’s investment banking division.
David graduated from Old Dominion University with a B.S. in Finance & Economics and completed his MBA with honors at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. He currently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife.
