Nick Alter
Nick Alter is the Senior Growth Advisor for First Water Finance. Nick first started working with First Water back in 2018, initially helping with the launch of Ben Lehrer’s book, Relational Finance. Over the years he has led multiple initiatives for First Water designing and building both platform and tools for the brand while also assuming the role of Senior Growth Advisor in 2024. Nick leads both growth architecture/strategy as well as building and managing the team around the execution of that strategy.
Having sold the marketing agency he built and ran for 13 years, Nick has worked as both consultant and execution partner around their marketing and sales needs. Besides his role at First Water Finance, he helps lead several organizations he has co-founded and invested in, namely ThriveSide and Founder’s Best Friend.
He graduated from Southwestern University with a BA, double majoring in English and Communications. More importantly, he has been responsible for helping many of his clients achieve 7-8 figures increases in annual revenue before building and selling two companies of his own. Married to his high school crush and living in Austin, he gets very little sleep wrangling their three kids.
